Using minimum set and props including weaponry of the period and Elizabethan costume we have found that combining the interactive workshop with performance of key scenes from the play works very well in school. Volunteer students are invited to be involved with us professional actors in a number of scenes throughout the session.
After a number of key scenes performed in continuity we cut the action to discuss relevant character, plot, imagery, language to gain a clear insight and understanding necessary for academic study and examination.
The students will also have the opportunity to stage a short performance of the ball scene to perform back to the main group.
As with all of our performances and workshops we gaurentee that the entire group no matter what size will be focused and engaged fully throughout.
We can learn so much from each character, the dramatic circumstances they live within, and how their actions affect themselves and others.
